Ukrainian athletes Liudmyla Luzan and Ivanna Diachenko won medals at the Canoe Sprint World Cup stage in Brandenburg, Germany. Luzan clinched the "gold" in the C-1 200m, while Diachenko became a bronze medalist in the K-1 at the same distance. This was reported by the NOC of Ukraine, according to UNN.

The second stage of the Canoe Sprint World Cup of the season is drawing to a close in Brandenburg, Germany. On the final competition day, Ukrainians Liudmyla Luzan and Ivanna Diachenko won gold and bronze medals in their respective disciplines,

Liudmyla Luzan became the winner in the C-1 at the Olympic distance of 200m. The Ukrainian finished with a result of 47.70 seconds, ahead of her closest rival, Sophia Jensen of Canada, by 0.75 seconds.

Ivanna Diachenko won the "bronze" in the K-1 at a distance of 200 meters. The Ukrainian clocked a time of 43.21 seconds, trailing the race winner — Yin Mengdie of China — by 0.24 seconds.

It is noted that for Liudmyla Luzan, this is already her second victory of the season at the World Cup stages specifically in the C-1 200 meters. For Ivanna Diachenko, this medal was the second in her career at the World Cup level — last year she won silver in Poznan in the same event.
