Ukraine celebrates the Day of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on November 21 . This holiday was established by a presidential decree of November 21, 2017, "taking into account the bravery and heroism of paratroopers in the fight for freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine".
Airborne assault troops are a separate branch of the Armed Forces .
