Ukrainian entrepreneurs received 600 soft loans worth UAH 2.1 billion last week: details

Last week, entrepreneurs received 600 soft loans worth UAH 2.1 billion under the government program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%".

Last week, entrepreneurs received 600 preferential loans worth UAH 2.1 billion under the state program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%," UNN reports citing the Ministry of Finance.

Details

Last week, entrepreneurs took advantage of the opportunity to receive soft loans under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program. A total of 600 such loans were granted through authorized banks in the amount of UAH 2.1 billion. Of this amount, state-owned banks provided 450 loans worth UAH 1.1 billion.

Since the beginning of 2024, entrepreneurs have received 5116 loans worth UAH 20.24 billion, including 3731 loans worth UAH 10.15 billion from public sector banks.

During the period of martial law in Ukraine, 49,258 affordable loans worth UAH 197.5 billion were issued (including 36,765 loans worth UAH 100.5 billion by public sector banks), as of March 25 this year:

- UAH 15.57 billion for investment purposes;

- UAH 55.61 billion to finance working capital;

- UAH 36.88 billion in loans to agricultural producers;

- UAH 11.25 billion for the processing of agricultural products;

- UAH 57.44 billion for anti-war purposes;

- UAH 7.88 billion - lending in the area of high military risk.

In total, 84,080 loan agreements worth UAH 287.1 billion have been concluded since the start of the Program, including 57,241 agreements worth UAH 127.1 billion by public sector banks.

The National Bank of Ukraine recommends to reorient the program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%" from working capital financing to supporting investment projects, limiting working capital financing to vulnerable sectors and critical industries.
