Aider Abduraimov, 20, lost in the 1/8 finals to Bulgarian Javier Ibanez in the 57 kg weight category. Only Oleksandr Khyzhnyak will represent Ukraine at the 2024 Olympics in boxing.

Ukrainian boxer Aider Abduraimov in the 57 kg weight category started in the 1/8 finals, where he lost to Bulgarian representative Javier Ibanez by unanimous decision, who was favored by the judges in all three rounds.
For 20-year-old Abduraimov, it was his debut at the Olympics. Ibanez is from Cuba but plays for Bulgaria. He is the winner of the 2023 European Games.
Abduraimov is the second Ukrainian boxer to drop out of the 2024 Olympics. Earlier, at the start of the tournament, Dmytro Lovchynskyi lost by knockout in the 92 kg weight class.

Thus, only one boxer, Oleksandr Khyzhnyak, is left to represent Ukraine at the Paris Games.
The day before, Khyzhnyak knocked out the Ukrainian native and advanced to the quarterfinals, where he will face Brazilian Wanderlei Pereira. The quarterfinals are scheduled for August 2.
