This year's 17th meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense in the Ramstein format was attended by defense ministers from more than 50 countries.
Umerov noted that Ukraine's Defense and Security Forces have pushed Russian warships out of the Black Sea and are gradually restoring freedom of navigation, even without their own powerful navy. According to the Minister of Defense, this is the result of Ukraine's asymmetric actions.
Rustem Umerov added that according to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has lost almost 36 thousand soldiers since the last meeting in the Ramstein format six weeks ago.

The situation at the front has changed thanks to weapons provided by Western partners. In particular, HIMARS systems, Stormshadow, SCALP, ATACMS missiles, Abrams, Challenger, and Leopard tanks helped improve the tactical situation of Ukrainian troops.
Umerov emphasized that further development of coalitions of capabilities - namely, those related to artillery, armor, aviation, navy, IT, and demining - will help Ukraine, together with its partners, protect millions of innocent lives.
"Our people are waiting for the opportunity to return home. To rebuild their homes. To reunite with their families," Rustem Umerov said.
The Defense Minister thanked his colleagues present at the meeting for their daily efforts to support Ukraine. He also emphasized that Lloyd Austin's personal role and involvement in chairing the Ramstein meetings were invaluable
