Ukraine's Air Force shoots down 52 out of 103 drones in the skies over Ukraine

Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 52 of 103 enemy drones launched by Russia from different directions. 44 drones were lost locally, and damage was recorded in several regions.
In the skies over Ukraine, air defense forces shot down 52 of 103 enemy attack drones launched by the Russian army since 9:00 a.m. on December 21, 44 drones were lost locally, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Sunday, UNN reported.
On the night of December 22, 2024 (from 09.00 on December 21), the enemy attacked with 103 Shahed-type strike UAVs and other types of drones from the directions of Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Berdiansk. An Iskander-M ballistic missile was also launched from Crimea in the direction of Kherson region.
As of 10:00 a.m., 52 Shahed and other types of UAVs were confirmed downed in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia regions
Due to the active counteraction of the Defense Forces, 44 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences), and one UAV flew in the direction of Belarus.
In the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions, private businesses, apartment buildings, and property were damaged by Russian attacks, though there were no casualties.
