A draft law has been prepared to ban the blocking of accounts of critical infrastructure operators in the war zone. Zelenskyy promised to personally oversee the adoption of this law.

A draft law has been prepared to ban the blocking of accounts of critical infrastructure operators, in particular, in the territory of hostilities during martial law. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba during a meeting of the All-Ukrainian Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, UNN reports.

Kuleba commented on the issue of debts for electricity and gas consumed, which  causes constant blocking of accounts and seizure of property of critical infrastructure operators in Donetsk region, due to the fact that critical infrastructure operators do not have enough of their own funds for priority payments.

Serhiy Dobriak, head of the Pokrovsk City Military Administration of the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region, called for attention to unblocking critical infrastructure accounts and not blocking them in the future, at least until the end of martial law.

"The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development has prepared a draft law that provides for the prohibition of any actions that will block accounts during martial law in the territory of hostilities, as well as in the territories designated by the Cabinet of Ministers. This draft law is now with the government, and then we will submit it to the parliament," Kuleba said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that he would make sure that this draft law was supported.

"We will make sure that the voting for this law is accelerated, and I will also make sure that it is supported," Zelensky said
