Bodies of 94 more Ukrainian soldiers returned to government-controlled territory
The bodies of 94 more Ukrainian soldiers have been returned to government-controlled territory. This was
was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, according to
UNN.
Today we managed to return
the bodies (remains) of 94 Ukrainian defenders to the government-controlled territory. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated
state specialized institutions for transfer to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic
bodies and forensic experts to identify the victims
The event was organized by
Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War in cooperation with the
Joint Center at the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (Secretariat of the Commissioner for
for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances), the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Central Military Command), the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in
Sumy region, the State Tax Service of Ukraine, and other representatives of the security
and defense structures of Ukraine with the assistance and direct participation of representatives of the
of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
It is noted that in accordance with the norms of International Humanitarian Law
the bodies (remains) of combatants killed in connection with the armed
aggression against Ukraine.
