Ukraine plans to open all negotiation clusters for EU accession by July

Ukraine plans to open six negotiation clusters by July and join the EU in 2027. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka during the Question Hour to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Ukraine expects to open all six negotiation clusters within the European Union accession process no later than July. The country also has the ambition to sign the EU accession treaty in 2027. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka during the Government Question Hour, according to UNN.

Taras Kachka noted that in November, the European Commission will publish a general assessment of the candidate countries within the enlargement package.
"Over the next 12-18 months, most negotiation chapters can be closed, and next year we can move toward signing the EU accession treaty. If the assessments are breakthrough, the ambition to conclude the accession treaty in 2027 will be realistic,"

Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that there are no obstacles to Ukraine's membership in the EU and the opening of negotiation clusters.
