Ukraine has a clear procedure on its way to EU membership and is systematically following it, and President Zelenskyy hopes to start negotiations in the first half of this year after the European Commission approves the framework for negotiations.
Ukraine has a clear set of steps toward full membership in the European Union and is systematically implementing them. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes to start negotiations on Ukraine's membership in the EU in the first half of this year. He stated this in his evening video address to Ukrainians, UNN reports.
Yesterday, the European Commission approved the negotiation framework. Now we are waiting for the decision of European leaders to approve it. And it will be important for both Ukraine and the entire European community - an important and strong signal - to do everything to start negotiations already during the Belgian presidency in the first half of this year. This should be our common pace - both for Ukraine and the EU side. We have a clear order of steps and I am sure we can achieve results.
