Next week, Ukraine expects to receive the first tranches from the IMF and the EU to cover the state budget deficit and support the security forces, social payments and pensions.
Ukraine expects to receive the first tranches from the International Monetary Fund and the European Union next week. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a telethon, UNN reports.
We are working with our partners to raise all the necessary funds to cover the state budget deficit. I would like to remind you that every hryvnia we have taken into the budget is used to support our Security and Defense Forces. Actually, social payments, humanitarian payments, and pensions are paid with the support of our partners. This includes the IMF program. This year we expect to receive UAH 5.6 billion from the IMF. I hope we will receive the next tranche next week
He noted that the first tranche from the EU is expected next week under the four-year Ukraine Facility program.
