A video of the shooting of two unarmed Ukrainian servicemen in the Kursk sector was found on social media. The Prosecutor General's Office launched an investigation into the violation of the laws of war.
Two unarmed Ukrainian soldiers were shot dead in Kursk region, an investigation has been launched, UNN reports with reference to the Prosecutor General's Office.
"...a pre-trial investigation has been initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement said.

According to the Office, on November 11, 2024, while monitoring information on social media, a publication with a video of the alleged shooting of two unarmed Ukrainian servicemen by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk direction was found.
The intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime, prosecutors added.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings, priority investigative (detective) actions are taken to establish the circumstances of the incident in order to bring the perpetrators to justice.
