U.S. President Donald Trump stated today that he is dissatisfied with Iran's latest proposal regarding negotiations to end the war and questioned the country's ability to ever agree to a deal, UNN reports, citing CNN.
"They want to make a deal," Trump told reporters at the White House. "I'm not happy with it."
He did not specify exactly what in Iran's latest document he could not accept, and went on to suggest that officials in Tehran might never reach an agreement on a negotiated settlement to the war.
"They've made progress, but I'm not sure they'll ever get there," Trump said on the South Lawn, describing "tremendous divisions" among Iran's leaders.
"The leadership is very divided," he said. "It has two or three groups, maybe four, and it's a very divided leadership. And given that, they all want to make a deal, but they're all messed up."
