The oldest publishing house in Ukraine ceases to exist

Naukova Dumka publishing house of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has announced its liquidation and Bankruptcy. The last day of operation of the bookstore on Tereshchenkovskaya and the online store will be December 2, 2024.
"Naukova Dumka publishing house ceases its activity by the decision of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. This is reported by the publication Chitomo with reference to the publishing house, reports UNN.

According to Victoria Ageeva, head of the book distribution department, this decision was made by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS).

According to Opendatabotu, bankruptcy proceedings were initiated against the institution on October 5, 2024.
Employees were notified of their dismissal 2 months before the termination of the company's activities.
A bookstore on Tereshchenkovskaya Street and an online store of the publishing house are also being closed. The last day of operation of the bookstore "Naukova Dumka Publishing House "will be December 2, 2024. This was announced by the publisher on its official website.

Earlier, UNN reported that the Ukrainian "Publishing House of the Old Lion" won the Book Festival in Bologna. It was recognized as the best children's publishing house in Europe.
