The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the "NOVATEK-Ust-Luga" complex in the Leningrad region overnight on August 14, and a fire was recorded. Two processing units were hit; the extent of the damage is being clarified.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the "NOVATEK-Ust-Luga" facility at a port in Russia’s Leningrad Region, UNN reports.
On the night of August 14, 2026, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the "NOVATEK-Ust-Luga" facility in Slobodka, Leningrad Region, Russia. A fire was recorded. According to preliminary information, two processing units were hit
"NOVATEK-Ust-Luga," as noted, is a production and transshipment facility intended for the fractionation and processing of stable gas condensate. Its capacity is nearly 8 million tonnes of raw materials per year. The facility’s products are used in Russia’s military and economic activities and are involved in meeting the needs of the Russian armed forces.
The extent of the damage caused and the results of the strike are being уточнены.
