A car explodes in Tel Aviv, killing a man suspected of terrorism. Police are investigating the incident, and a passerby on an electric scooter was also injured.
A man was killed in a car explosion in Tel Aviv, the commander of the Peretz Amar police district said. His words are quoted by The Times of Istael, reports UNN.

“We know that this is not an innocent civilian, but someone who was transporting an explosive device. It could be a criminal or terrorist act,” he told reporters.
The Israeli Security Service has not officially joined the investigation, but is studying the information about the incident.
Amar noted that the identity of the deceased is crucial for determining whether the incident was a terrorist act, but it is difficult to identify him.
According to Haaretz, the man who died was about 50 years old. The explosion also left one person injured - he was riding a scooter past the scene. The man sustained moderate injuries, the newspaper said. According to Ynet, the 33-year-old victim was passing by the scooter and sustained moderate shrapnel wounds to his limbs and chest. He was hospitalized.
The publication notes that the explosion occurred on Lehi Street near the synagogue. Ynet also publishes footage from CCTV cameras showing a possible suspect in the explosion - a man dressed in a dark shirt and jeans, with a blue bag and glasses.
