After a massive missile attack on Israeli territory, the PRC emphasizes that Iran "took limited measures," so it was the exercise of the right to self-defense. During the conversation, Amir-Abdullahian explained that the UN Security Council did not respond properly to the attack on the Iranian Embassy in Syria, so his country had the right to respond in self-defense to the violation of its sovereignty.
The current regional situation is very sensitive, and Iran is ready to exercise restraint and has no intention of further escalation
In his turn, the Chinese Foreign Minister emphasized that Beijing condemns and opposes the attack on the Iranian Embassy in Syria. According to him, this incident is a serious violation of international law.
At the same time, he called the attack on Israel "the realization of the right to self-defense" and suggested that Iran would not deepen the destabilization of the situation in the region.
China has taken note of Iran's statement that the actions it took were limited and that it was an exercise of self-defense in response to the attack on the embassy building. We trust that Iran is well aware of the situation and will be able to avoid further destabilization by protecting its sovereignty and dignity
The two sides also stated that the countries will continue to cooperate and develop China-Iran relations. The minister also reiterated his call for a resolution of the conflict in Gaza and the restoration of regional peace.
