I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday. At the beginning of the full-scale aggression, the Russian invaders were confident that they had completely destroyed the Ukrainian air force with their first missile strikes. But the defenders of the Ukrainian sky gave the invaders a mighty fight. From the very first day of the full-scale armed aggression, the air defense warriors effectively repelled the missile attacks. Their selfless professional actions foiled the aggressor's plans. The servicemen of the Air Force have become true national heroes. No wonder one of Kyiv's central avenues was recently renamed in honor of the Air Force

He noted that the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being reformed and improved right in the crucible of war.

"Our soldiers undergo training and exchange of experience with the best specialists of the armed forces of NATO countries. Ukrainian soldiers impress our allies and partners with their experience and the speed with which they master the latest models of Western military equipment. The leadership of the state, the Ministry of Defense and the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are making great efforts to ensure that the Air Force is modernized and receives new models of weapons and military equipment. In particular, from our international partners and friends," added Syrskyi.

The Commander-in-Chief thanked the Air Force veterans who returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the first hours of full-scale armed aggression and stood up to defend the Ukrainian sky.

I bow my head in sorrow for every Ukrainian defender who has forever remained in the Ukrainian sky... Eternal memory and eternal glory to the Heroes of the Ukrainian sky. I thank every soldier and employee of the Air Force for their bravery, fortitude, sacrifice in the name of the Ukrainian people and for their daily tireless struggle and work that brings the Ukrainian Victory closer. My special gratitude goes to those who tirelessly prepare new surprises for the Russian occupiers every day by utilizing Russian aircraft and missiles

- Syrsky summarized.

Recall

On Air Force Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian soldiers destroyed thousands of Russian missiles and drones, hundreds of Russian combat aircraft and helicopters. Ukraine is doing everything to ensure that the Air Force can do even more.
