In Kyiv and Volyn regions, five people were detained for setting fire to military vehicles and relay cabinets for a monetary reward. The suspects filmed their actions to report to their “curators”.
The Kyiv city and Volyn regional prosecutor's offices have served notice of suspicion to five men who set fire to relay cabinets and military vehicles, UNN reports, citing the National Police of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, a Kyiv resident received an order via Telegram to set fire to a relay cabinet near a railway station in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital for a monetary reward.
He recruited two of his friends to carry out his scheme. Arriving at the “facility,” they opened the door of the relay cabinet, poured lighter fluid on it and set it on fire.
One of the suspects filmed the entire process on his cell phone. The video was later sent to the customer.
In addition, arsonists of military vehicles were also found in Volyn.
Two Volyn residents were also looking for “easy money”. In one of the messengers, they were offered to set fire to Ukrainian military vehicles for a monetary reward and provided with detailed instructions. A prerequisite for “cooperation” was video recording of the result of the work
On December 23, 2024, in the city of Volodymyr, the suspects set fire to a military vehicle by pouring a pre-prepared incendiary mixture on it.
They filmed their actions on a cell phone to report back to the “curator”.
