Stolen treasures: Police seized and handed over to the Museum of the History of Ukraine three treasures that were being sold online

Kyiv prosecutors seized unique artifacts that were being sold online, including a silver fibula from the 4th century, a gold bracelet and others. The treasures were handed over to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine.
Kyiv prosecutors seized rare artifacts, the sale of which appeared on a specialized website for the sale of collectible items, and handed them over to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine.

Museum employees discovered an advertisement for the sale of unique items on a specialized website and turned to law enforcement officers. Among the unique treasures: a silver fibula (clasp) of the 4th century, a fragment of a gold bracelet and a gilded end of a belt in the form of the head of a bird of prey with an insert of garnet, from the period of the Great Migration of Peoples of the 5th-7th centuries.
As part of the investigation, an examination has been appointed to determine the exact age, origin and historical value of these artifacts. Experts from the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Examinations of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and specialists from the National Museum of the History of Ukraine are involved in its conduct.

Earlier, UNN wrote that in Odesa region a treasure of silver coins from the time of the Crimean Khanate was found, hidden during the Crimean Tatar raids, in a ravine near the village of Flora.
