South Africa cannot invite Putin to the G20 summit in 2025 because of the ICC arrest warrant. A spokesperson for the South African president confirmed that the legal situation has remained unchanged since the BRICS summit.
South Africa has said that the country cannot invite Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit in 2025 because of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. This was reported by the official representative of the President of South Africa, Vincent Magwenya, according to roszmia, UNN reports.
Maguenia said that the country "has not yet been able to influence" the International Criminal Court's order against Russian dictator Putin to invite him to the G20 summit.
The legal situation has not changed since the BRICS summit in Johannesburg. We cannot influence the ICC's decision in any way,
