Up to 90 cm of snow fell in the highlands of the Carpathians, and temperatures dropped to -11°C. Forecasters predict snow across Ukraine by the end of the week with nighttime frosts down to -5°C.

A real winter reigns in the highlands of the Carpathians, with snow drifts reaching a meter and temperatures dropping below -10°C. On Mount Pip Ivan, the snow cover ranges from 20 to 90 cm. Vasyl Fitsak, the head of the Chornohora search and rescue post on Mount Pip Ivan, writes about this, UNN reports.

Forecasters predict that it will snow in Ukraine at least until the end of the week. At night, temperatures are expected to drop to -5°C, while during the day the temperature will rise to +5°C. In addition, they warn of ice and strong winds with gusts of up to 15-20 m/s.
