Addendum

On December 1, Slovak truckers began blocking truck traffic at the Vysne Nemecke border crossing with Ukraine, allowing limited passage. They joined Polish truck drivers who are demanding that the EU reinstate truck permits that were canceled after the Russian invasion.

European Commissioner for Transport Adina Veljan said on November 29 that Ukraine and the EU cannot be "hostages" of Polish truckers blocking the border. According to her, the situation is "unacceptable," and Brussels reserves the right to intervene to ensure compliance with the rules and application of the law.
