Investigators interrogated more than 100 witnesses in the case of the shooting of a family with children by the Russian military in Bucha. The accused faces up to 15 years or life in prison for the murder of 4 civilians, including children.
Investigators have interrogated more than a hundred witnesses in the case of the shooting of a family with young children in Bucha by Russian occupation forces . This was stated by the prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office Victoria Tsukareva during a telethon, UNN reports.
Details
According to her, during the occupation of Bucha, the accused, being the deputy commander of a combat vehicle, shot two civilian cars that were trying to evacuate from the combat zone. The cars were occupied by a couple with two children aged 5 and 10 and their neighbors.
During the pre-trial investigation, a large number of procedural and investigative actions were carried out. More than 100 witnesses were interrogated in Bucha. Inspections of the scene and investigative experiments were conducted with the participation of victims and witnesses
The prosecutor added that about 20 examinations were appointed and conducted, and their results fully documented the illegal actions of the Russian Armed Forces serviceman
It is noted that as a result of the actions of the accused, four people died - a mother and two children, as well as their neighbor. Also, the father of the executed family had his leg amputated due to severe injuries.
For committing this war crime, the accused faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment
