About 500 men who refused to fight were forcibly taken from a military settlement near St. Petersburg to a training ground near Kursk. They were given machine guns and are being prepared to be sent to the front, despite the health problems of many of them.
Several hundred refuseniks from Russian St. Petersburg were forcibly put on a plane and taken near Kursk. The military have already been given automatic rifles and are about to be sent into battle. This is reported to the telegram channel ASTRA told their loved ones, reports UNN.
"The day before, at least 500 men were taken out of the military village of Kamenka near St. Petersburg, where the 138th Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade is based and where several hundred men who refused to fight were being held," the report said.
It is reported that some of the refuseniks had criminal cases on abandonment of the unit and were under investigation, while others were waiting for a military commission. Among those in custody are men with health problems, physical and mental: "They took away a man with category "D", plus a man in his 70s who can barely walk, and a man without an eye...".
According to their relatives, yesterday around 6 p.m. they received a message from the men who were there that they were suddenly summoned to a formation, and then, without explaining anything, were put into KAMAZ trucks and taken under guard to a military airfield. The first "batch" - about 300 people - was sent to an unknown destination. The second part - about 150 people - found themselves by morning 7 kilometers away from Kursk at a military training ground.
"They took them, grabbed them like a parcel, put them in and took them away," their wives and mothers tell us.
Wives are afraid that they "will be thrown on the first line like meat, because they don't formalize anything, they don't say anything, everything is quiet".
