Russian schools are turning into an ideological conveyor belt for the Kremlin - CPD

The Russian education system is intensifying the brainwashing of children by integrating increasingly purely ideological disciplines into the curriculum. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), informs UNN.

It is noted that the Russian Ministry of Education has announced the introduction of a new subject from 2027 — "Spiritual and Moral Culture of Russia."

The official goal of the course is "the formation of a worldview based on traditional values." Children will study the life paths and views of Russian state, public, and cultural figures, as well as military personnel — participants in the war against Ukraine. In fact, the Russian authorities are declaring participants in the war of aggression as bearers of "spiritual and moral values." Obviously, these are the same "values" that horrified the whole world after the liberation of Bucha, Irpin, and other Ukrainian cities from Russian occupation — murders, looting, and violence against civilians

They emphasize that this discipline will be forcibly imposed in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine as well.

"The innovation fits into the Kremlin's strategy, the main goal of which is to erase the Ukrainian identity of children in the TOT. Through such lessons in schools, the Russian authorities are trying to normalize the war in the perception of children. The Kremlin is turning the school into a conveyor belt of 'correct citizens' who will go to war in the future without unnecessary questions and unconditionally support the actions of the authorities," the CCD concludes.
