On August 18, Russian troops dropped an unexploded ordnance on a residential neighborhood in Bilopillia. A 33-year-old man was killed, his 11-year-old daughter and two adults were injured, and at least 5 houses were damaged.

In the afternoon, on August 18, Russian troops attacked Sumy region from the air. Russians dropped a missile on a residential area of Belopillya, killing a man and injuring several people. This was stated by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, reports UNN.

According to the investigation, on August 18, 2024, at about 16:00, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the enemy dropped a CAB on the civilian infrastructure of Bilopillia, Sumy district.

The bomb hit the house of local residents. The 33-year-old owner was killed, his 11-year-old daughter was seriously injured, and a 55-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were also wounded.

At least 5 private houses were damaged.

Under the procedural supervision of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
