Russia uses sex toys and cosmetics for sabotage in Europe: investigation

The investigation revealed that Russia is likely behind the parcel explosions in Great Britain, Germany and Poland. Homemade incendiary devices were hidden in parcels with sex toys.

Russians are using sex toys to carry out sabotage in Europe. In particular, an investigation conducted in Poland showed that Russians are likely behind the explosions of three parcels at courier depots in Great Britain, Germany and Poland last summer, UNN writes with reference to Reuters.
Details
The investigation established that the pillows packed in the parcels together with cosmetics and sex toys contained hidden homemade incendiary devices made from a mixture of chemicals.
It is also known that the chemicals were ignited using pre-set detonators adapted from cheap Chinese electronic gadgets used to track lost keys. In addition, the organizers of the explosions amplified the effect with tubes that looked like cosmetics, but actually contained a gel of combustible compounds, including nitromethane.
These findings provide a rare insight into how sabotage campaigns are unfolding in practice. European security chiefs released information about parcel fires in October, describing them as part of a "hybrid war" that Russia is waging to destabilize countries that support Ukraine. Russians use both arson and cyberattacks.
European officials familiar with the investigation materials said the parcels, which caught fire in warehouses, causing fires but not harming people, were a trial run for a future Russian plan to blow up similar packages in the air on cargo flights to the United States and Canada.
With the war in Ukraine, these attacks have intensified, become more frequent, more persistent
The National Prosecutor's Office of Poland stated that investigators also seized a fourth parcel that did not explode at a depot in Warsaw, allowing them to examine its contents in detail. Polish investigators claim that a Ukrainian man named Vladislav, who lived in southern Poland, played a key role in the European trial run, acting on instructions received via Telegram from a GRU curator known to him only as "Warrior".
Let us remind you
Law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Poland detained a 47-year-old citizen of Ukraine on suspicion of collaborating with Russian special services.
