A spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service said that there are not enough Russian troops in Belarus to invade again. No movements of equipment or personnel of the Russian and Belarusian armies have been observed at the border.

Russia does not have a sufficient number of units on the territory of Belarus to create a repeated invasion of Ukraine. This was stated by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, during a telethon, UNN reports .

The situation there (on the border with Belarus - ed.) is absolutely controlled by our defense forces. Russia does not have enough units on the territory of Belarus to create a repeat invasion. But we have to be prepared for any situation, and our intelligence units are closely monitoring this

- Demchenko said.

Demchenko noted that border guards have not noticed any movement of equipment or personnel from either the Russian or Belarusian army units near the Ukrainian border in the recent period.

Although Belarus keeps a certain number of its military on the border with Ukraine, it is trying to constantly escalate the situation that Ukraine is a threat

- Demchenko said.
