The U.S. Secretary of State congratulated Russians on the holiday and reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to establishing peace between the RF and Ukraine.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the Russian people on Russia Day on behalf of the United States of America, and also emphasized that America remains committed to promoting a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian war, UNN reports.

According to him, the U.S. continues to hope that a "lasting peace will pave the way for a more prosperous future for the Russian people and a more constructive relationship between our two countries."
As a reminder
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington continues to try to bring Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table, but currently the parties do not demonstrate readiness for the necessary compromises.
