Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasiia Rybachok won gold medals at the European Championships in Portugal. Luzan won in the single and double 200-meter races.
Ukraine won two gold medals on the first day of the finals at the European Canoe Sprint Championships, UNN reports, citing the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

"A golden Ukrainian double on the first day of the finals at the European Canoe Sprint Championships taking place in Montemor-o-Velho (Portugal)," the ministry stated, listing:
- gold - Liudmyla Luzan (C-1, 200 m);
- gold - Liudmyla Luzan, Anastasiia Rybachok (C-2, 200 m).
Liudmyla Luzan's collection reportedly now includes 14 European Championship medals, 6 of which are of the highest caliber. Anastasiia Rybachok has 4 continental championship awards, including 3 golds.
