Respite will be short-lived: Israel says fighting against Hamas will continue for two more months after the truce

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant announces that after a short-lived truce, the Israeli military will intensify its fight against Hamas for another two months to secure the release of more hostages.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant says that after the the end of the "short" temporary truce with the terrorist group Hamas the military will resume fighting "with intensity" for at least another two months, UNN reports citing The Times of Israel.
What you will see in the coming days is first the release of the hostages. This respite will be short
"What is required of you during this respite, is to organize, prepare, investigate, resupply weapons and prepare to continue," he tells the military.
"There will be a continuation because we need to complete the the victory and create an impetus for the next groups of hostages who will return only as a result of pressure," he says.

Earlier, Israel approved an agreement with Hamas to release hostages kidnapped in the Gaza Strip. The agreement provides for a temporary ceasefire.
