The agency said that yesterday, April 8, rescuers received a report that a man had found containers with mercury while walking in a forest plantation in Lviv.
During the inspection, 4 closed containers with mercury were found.
The radiation, chemical and biological protection department of the emergency rescue unit of the special purpose emergency rescue detachment of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv region seized mercury in the amount of 20 kg and handed it over for further disposal to the Department of Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Population
