Volodymyr Oleksandriuk, a 47-year-old rescuer, died in hospital from burns he received while extinguishing a fire in the center of Odesa on July 30. Doctors were unable to save his life.

The State Emergency Service stated that the medics did everything possible, but failed to save the rescuer.

On July 30, a fire broke out in the center of Odesa in a three-story residential building with an area of 500 square meters. Three firefighters were injured during the firefighting.
