Russian President Vladimir Putin is refusing to accept a unilateral ceasefire in Ukraine, claiming that Kyiv would use it to rearm and strengthen its army.
Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin said that Russia cannot unilaterally cease fire in Ukraine because Kyiv "will use it to rearm". UNN writes with reference to the Russian media.
Now we simply cannot declare a ceasefire in the hope that the other side will take some positive steps. We cannot allow the enemy to take advantage of this ceasefire to improve its position, rearm, recruit its army through forced mobilization, and be ready to continue the armed conflict
