Pope Francis once again calls to pray for Ukraine

Pope Francis called on the faithful to pray for Ukraine, Myanmar and Sudan. The pontiff also asked to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East and to eliminate discrimination in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
At the end of a meeting with pilgrims on Wednesday, Pope Francis called on them to join him in prayers for suffering Ukraine, UNN reports citing Vatican News.

"I ask you to join me in prayers also for suffering Ukraine, Myanmar, and Sudan: may these war-torn peoples find the much-cherished peace as soon as possible," Pope Francis said, resuming his general audience after a July break.
The pontiff also reiterated his call to prevent the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East, and asked for prayer for other nations suffering from war. He also called for united efforts to eliminate discrimination in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
