After being discharged from the hospital, where he was treated for pneumonia, 88-year-old Pope Francis appeared before believers in the Vatican. He thanked everyone for their support and prayed for the doctors.

The Pope appeared before a jubilant crowd in the Vatican for the first time since his stay in the hospital, UNN reports with reference to Sky News.
Details
The appearance of the 88-year-old pontiff in a wheelchair came two weeks after the pontiff was discharged from the hospital.
Pope Francis spent five weeks in the Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where he was treated for a life-threatening bout of bilateral pneumonia.
Speaking in a weak voice, receiving oxygen through a small tube under his nose, he told the crowd: "Happy Sunday everyone. Thank you very much."
In a message prepared by the Pope and published by the Vatican, it is said that he felt the "caring touch" of God.
"... I ask the Lord that this touch of his love may reach those who suffer, and encourage those who care for them," the message reads.
"And I pray for doctors, nurses and health workers who are not always helped to work in proper conditions, and sometimes they even become victims of aggression."
Let's add
The 88-year-old Francis has not appeared in public since March 23, when he briefly greeted everyone before leaving the hospital.
