PACE spring session begins today: Ukraine will be discussed

Today, the PACE spring session begins, where it is scheduled to consider a resolution to support Ukraine's reconstruction using Russian assets and discuss the issue of opposition to Putin's totalitarian regime.
The session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) begins today in Strasbourg. It is planned, in particular, to consider a resolution to support the reconstruction of Ukraine at the expense of Russian assets, MP Yevhenia Kravchuk, a member of the permanent delegation to PACE, said on her Facebook page, UNN reports .
Tuesday is a real Ukrainian day! We will be voting on a resolution to support Ukraine's reconstruction with an important provision on the use of Russian assets. It is symbolic that the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, will address the PACE members before the vote
Also, according to her, on Wednesday, April 17, PACE will hold a big debate on how to oppose the totalitarian regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In particular, there will be resolutions on the death of oppositionist Alexei Navalny and the strengthening of sanctions against Russia due to the illegal detention of oppositionist Vladimir Kara-Murza.
"It is important for the Ukrainian delegation to convey the idea that Ukraine's victory is the key and the first priority," Kravchuk emphasized.
Also, according to her, on Thursday, April 18, there is an important side-event: "Victims of enforced disappearances: how the Russian Federation captures Ukrainian civilians and violates international law."
During the PACE session, the Ukrainian delegation will also meet with all the candidates for the post of the new Secretary General of the Council of Europe, who will be elected this June.
