“Oleksandriya” remains in the UPL for now and will play in the play-offs

"Oleksandriya" will replace "Rukh" in the play-off matches for the right to compete in the UPL. The league's General Assembly has officially excluded the Lviv club from the list of competition participants.

Football club "Oleksandriya" has avoided direct relegation from the Ukrainian Premier League and will participate in the play-offs instead of Lviv's "Rukh," which was excluded from the elite division. This was reported by the UPL press service, according to UNN.
Today, a general meeting of the Ukrainian Premier League participants took place, where an official statement from FC "Rukh" was considered, requesting the exclusion of the club's first team from the Ukrainian Football Championship among Ukrainian Premier League clubs for the 2025/26 season. The UPL general meeting supported the decision to grant FC "Rukh's" request for exclusion from the competition
It is noted that in accordance with the provisions of the Competition Regulations, FC "Oleksandriya" takes the place of "Rukh" in the play-off matches for the right to participate in the Ukrainian Football Championship among Ukrainian Premier League clubs for the 2026/27 season.

On May 12, after a defeat to Luhansk's "Zorya," "Oleksandriya" left the Ukrainian Premier League and was relegated to the Ukrainian First League. Earlier, SC "Poltava" became the first team to leave the UPL.
According to the results of the Ukrainian Championship, "Oleksandriya" took 15th place, while "Rukh" took 14th place, which grants the right to play in the play-offs to maintain their spot in the UPL.
Earlier, the founder of "Rukh," Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, stated that the first team would play in the Ukrainian Second League.
Note that on May 27, a draw will take place to determine which of the play-off matches "Oleksandriya" will play at home and which away.
On June 1, "Oleksandriya's" opponent in the play-off matches will be determined. The play-off matches will take place on June 5 and 9.
