The match, which took place at Oleksandriya's home stadium, CSC "Nika", ended in a 2-1 victory for "Zorya".
The Luhansk side opened the scoring with a penalty in the 55th minute: Pylyp Budkivskyi successfully converted the spot-kick, scoring his 12th goal in the UPL.
In the 75th minute, Petar Mićin scored the second goal for his team with a long-range shot. He was assisted by Budkivskyi.
Just two minutes later, "Oleksandriya" managed to reduce the deficit through the efforts of Teddy Tsari, but this goal proved to be insufficient.
Furthermore, "Oleksandriya" received two red cards at the end of the match: in the 85th minute, Danil Skorko received a second yellow, and in the 90+4 minute, Miguel Ferreira also received a second yellow.
Thus, with two rounds remaining in the championship and holding 13 points, "Oleksandriya" has lost the mathematical chance to escape the relegation zone and is leaving the Ukrainian Premier League.
Earlier, SC "Poltava" left the UPL.
