Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Khyzhnyak has reached the semifinals of the 2024 Olympic Games in the 80 kg weight category. Having defeated Brazilian Wanderson Pereira, he guaranteed himself at least a bronze medal, the third for Ukraine at these Games.

In the quarterfinals, Khyzhnyak defeated Brazilian Wanderson Pereira, receiving a unanimous 5-0 decision from the judges.
