Doroshchuk reached the final of the 2026 European Championships from fifth place in the qualifying round. The leader of the Ukrainian team cleared four bars without a mistake, while at 2.23 m he used two attempts on his way to the final.
The European champion was determined at 2.32 m, where Doroshchuk and Italian Gianmarco Tamberi failed to clear the bar on their first attempts. Tamberi cleared the height on his second jump, while the Ukrainian failed again. Ultimately, the Ukrainian was also unable to clear the decisive bar on his third attempt, finishing the competition with "silver".
It should be added that this is Doroshchuk's second consecutive medal at the European Championships and his first "silver"—in 2024, the Ukrainian won a bronze medal.
