A massive explosion and fire at an oil depot occurred in the village of Stalnoy Kony in the Oryol region of Russia after a drone attack. Despite air defense and helicopter support, the drones reached their target.
On the night of Sunday, December 22, in the village of Stalnoy Kony, Oryol region, Russia, drones allegedly attacked an oil depot, and a massive fire broke out. This was reported by Russian media and social networks, UNN reports.
A fire broke out at a fuel infrastructure facility in the Oryol region due to a UAV attack, the governor said,
Social media reported that drones attacked the oil depot en masse. The air defense system tried to repel the attack, but the drones achieved their goal.
Residents of Orel report that several helicopters arrived to help the air defense to fight the UAVs, despite the fact that there were several explosions and fire was visible from the side of the oil depot. About 10 fire trucks arrived at the scene,
Shortly afterward, the governor of the Oryol region, Andrei Klitschkov , confirmedthat the Oryol region had been attacked by drones. He added that the attack had caused a fire at a fuel infrastructure facility in the village of Stalevy Kin, Oryol municipal district.
"Please remain calm, the attack is still ongoing. There is currently no information about casualties or injuries, emergency services are already working at the scene and taking measures to eliminate the consequences of the fire," Klitschko added.
