Odesa Regional Administration Cancels Wasteful Tenders for UAH 6 Million

The Odesa Regional State Administration canceled wasteful tenders worth more than UAH 6 million and sent the materials to law enforcement agencies.
At a regular meeting of the Transparency and Accountability Working Group at the Odesa Regional State Administration, wasteful tenders worth more than UAH 6 million were identified and canceled. The materials were sent to law enforcement agencies. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper, UNN reported.
"More than UAH 6 million is the amount of canceled tenders as a result of today's work of the Transparency and Accountability working group.
At the meeting, the group, together with representatives of local governments, law enforcement agencies and the public, reviewed another wasteful tender. In particular, the procurement of overpriced generators, non-urgent road repairs, purchase of trees, etc.
A total of 21 tenders were reviewed," Kiper writes.
Yes, according to the results of the meeting:
- 7 tender purchases totaling UAH 6,099,054 were canceled;
- the procuring entities took measures to reduce the cost of the procurement item by UAH 150,000.
The total amount of money saved is UAH 6,249,054.
Also, the implementation of 4 projects worth UAH 3,327,401 was put on hold.
"The materials have been collected and sent to law enforcement agencies," Kiper said.
