“The occupiers are building defenses at the Saki airfield in an attempt to protect themselves from the Ukrainian air defense system. The presence of special equipment and construction work was recorded, indicating that the occupiers are trying to build protective structures for aircraft,” the ATES movement said.
In addition, the exact number and types of aircraft deployed at the airfield, as well as the air defense systems that cover them, were recorded.
ATES points out that since 2014, the 43rd Separate Naval Assault Aviation Regiment (Russian Federation) has been stationed at the airfield with Su-24M and Su-30SM aircraft. “Previously, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have repeatedly conducted successful strikes on this facility,” the movement said.
“We have passed all the information collected on the deployment of aircraft, radars, equipment and personnel to the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” ATES emphasized.
