Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk has won two medals at the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Romania. He added bronze in the 800-meter freestyle to his previous victory in the 1500 meters.

26-year-old Mykhailo Romanchuk is one of the most titled Ukrainian swimmers. He is a native of Rivne. He is a silver and bronze medalist at the 2020 Olympic Games in 2020. He set the European record in the 800m freestyle in 2020. He also set an Olympic record and reached the final of the 800 meters freestyle final. He is married to Ukrainian athlete Maryna Bekh.
