MP Yurchyshyn stated that the use of a vehicle with cover plates by ARMA is grounds for an internal investigation. ARMA denies the use of such license plates, despite the available evidence.

The use of a car with cover numbers by ARMA employees and the denial of this fact is grounds for at least an internal investigation. This opinion was expressed in an exclusive commentary to UNN by MP, anti-corruption expert Yaroslav Yurchyshyn.

Context

Earlier it became known that ARMA employees arrived to inspect the assets of the Gulliver shopping center in a gray BMW X5 with license plate KA1614RT. As it turned out, this license plate was not registered in the MIA databases, indicating that ARMA representatives were using cover plates. In response to a request from UNN, ARMA stated that this had never happened. However, a video available to UNN confirms that ARMA employees arrived at the capital's shopping center in the car mentioned above and with such license plates.

Yurchyshyn noted that ARMA employees are not allowed to use cars with cover plates. Therefore, the only time they could drive such cars was during investigative actions with law enforcement officials.

Was this an unauthorized violation of the law by ARMA employees, or was it ARMA's participation in the procedural actions of another law enforcement agency, which may  also have grounds to visit this company. Therefore, this issue needs to be clarified. Why is ARMA lying? If this was the result of certain investigative actions, it may be a secret of the investigation and ARMA is obliged not to give this information in order not to harm the investigation. But this should definitely be the basis for an internal investigation, and an incorrect answer - that is, denial of the fact - is the wrong behavior in this case

- The MP points out.

According to him, the ARMA should have made it clear that the use of cover numbers was carried out as part of certain investigative actions.

"The fact that ARMA denies the facts gives us reason to hope that there will be an internal investigation, at least communication in this direction will be corrected, and if there were indeed abuses, then there will be disciplinary sanctions," Yurchyshyn emphasized.

Recall

The head of the ARMA, Olena Duma , reported that the agency's employees had thoroughly inspected the Gulliver Business Complex. However, the video she posted on her tg-channel shows a group of men walking from one office to another and admiring the view from the window of the capital's complex.
