Kyrgyzstan no longer serves Russian Mir cards

Banks in Kyrgyzstan have stopped servicing Russkiy Mir cards due to the risk of secondary sanctions, making card payments, cash withdrawals, card-to-card transfers and online payments with these cards unavailable.
In Kyrgyzstan, banks have stopped servicing Russian Mir cards. Earlier, financial institutions in Armenia introduced such restrictions. This is reported by the Interbank Processing Center of Kyrgyzstan, UNN reports.

Kyrgyzstan explained the reason for refusing to service Russian cards was the risk of secondary sanctions.
On April 3, the following services became unavailable
- servicing cards in acquiring devices (cashless payments at POS terminals and cash withdrawals at ATMs);
- card-to-card transfers;
- e-commerce: online payments from the card to the accounts of trade and service companies.
