Kiev will be plunged into fog: visibility will decrease to 200-500 meters

Until the end of December 7, heavy fog with visibility of 200-500 meters is forecast in Kiev. Drivers and pedestrians are given recommendations for safe movement in conditions of limited visibility.

Due to low visibility, experts recommend that drivers follow the following tips when driving in fog::
reduce your driving speed;
if there are fog lights, turn them on together with the low beam;
keep a safe distance from other vehicles;
when stopping, turn on the emergency light alarm;
avoid sudden maneuvers on the road.
Also, pedestrians are urged to be careful, if possible choose light clothing, wear reflective elements – flickers to be visible to drivers during fog and in the dark.
Recall
According to a survey by the Ministry of internal affairs, 31% of parents admitthat their children do not wear reflective elements. Last winter, there were more than 4,500 road accidents, of which 486 were involving children.
