UEFA has tightened security at the stadiums of the Champions League quarterfinals in Madrid, Paris and London due to ISIS threats to carry out terrorist attacks during the matches.

Amid threats by ISIS militants of terrorist attacks during the Champions League quarterfinals , security measures have been tightened at stadiums. UNN reports this with reference to BBC and Marca.

Security at the stadiums hosting the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals  will be tightened, but the games in Madrid, Paris and London will go ahead as planned, UEFA said. French and Spanish officials have also confirmed the increased security measures.

Earlier, the Spanish newspaper Marca reported that the Islamic State  threatened to organize terrorist attacks at the Champions League quarterfinals to be held on April 9 and 10, and publications close to ISIS  called for attacks at the stadiums where the matches will take place.

"UEFA is aware of the possible terrorist threats against this week's Champions League matches and is in close contact with the authorities at the relevant venues. It is planned that all matches will take place as scheduled and in compliance with appropriate security measures," UEFA said.
